Cold Brew Jug

Steps

  1. Measure
  2. Measure out 2,000 grams (two liters) of water and weigh out one pound (454 grams) of coffee.
  3. Grind
  4. Grind the coffee finely into a large nonreactive bowl.
  5. Fill
  6. Add your coffee and water to the jug.
  7. Stir
  8. Thougroly stir the coffee so that all of the water can reach it.
  9. Brew
  10. Leave the mixture in the fridge overnight, or for 12 to 16 hours, depending on how strong you would like it.
  11. Filter
  12. Run the coffee through a filter to remove all of the ground bits. Cold Brew
  13. Pour
  14. Pour the coffee concentrate over ice, or any other substance that you would prefer. Cold Brew with additions

Improving

  1. For stronger coffee:
  2. Use 4 ounces of water per tablespoon of coffee, or grind your coffee to a finer particle size
  3. For weaker coffee:
  4. Use 8 ounces of water per tablespoon of coffee, or grind your coffee to a coarser particle size
  5. For a fruitier, more acidic cup of coffee:
  6. Try a lighter roast coffee
  7. For a bolder, smoky and/or chocolatey cup of coffee:
  8. Try a darker roast coffee
